i was just outside warming up my quad when i looked under the skid plate underneath the motor, and noticed red fluid on the case. so i took off the skid plate and wiped it down and noticed the brass colored bolt right behind the peg on the kick starter side was loose, must of been from when the dealer did the oil change. either they forgot to tighten it or it came loose. just a heads up for you guys, because it would suck losing that bolt on the trails, or racing.
<<<<is that brass colored bolt a check for fluid level.

isnt that the bolt you check your tranny oil with. if so you are supposed to check it every time you ride. This thing eats oil so it is a good idea to check both tranny and crank fluids before every ride.

with seperate tranny/crankcase oil tanks, what would be the purpose in checking tranny fluid every ride? There shouldn't be a way for it to burn oil.

Same principal as the tranny on a 2 stroke.

i agree with the burning oil thing but my honda dealer told me to check both of them everytime i ride. not trying to give false info just passing what i heard.
