if anyone knows is this a atc 250r motor, are these motors 2 or 4 stroke?

obviously they are air cooled but anyone got any info on them?

I beleive thats an old ATC engine from the three wheelers, it's a two stroke.

it a 250 2-stroke from a 82-84 honda atc250R (if it was a 4-stroke it would have a valve cover;) )

i'm thinkin about pickin it up and rebuilding it and putting it on my 300ex

i think it is from a atc early 80s honda 250r.......air cooled...i had one in my trike looked just like it...mine was a 83

No. It's air-cooled. It does not produce as much power as the liquid cooled engines that were in the quads!;)

but the liquid cooled atc 250r motors are the same as the quad motors!

I had a late 70's early 80's cr 250 dual shock dirt bike with that motor.

how much they want for it?

its a 2 stroke. Its not prolly gona be close to the quad motor but with a rebuild it prolly will put out more than ur 300. Give it a shot man.
