View Full Version : Twisted Steering stem

OK Honda 2003 Honda 400ex

It seems someone stole my quad out of my shed and must have rolled it .. hmmph

anyway my handlebars are not strait when the wheels are. It seems to be 1/4 inch off ...

heres the example if you don't get the picture...
When my tires are perfectly strait the handlebars seem to be 1/4inch turned in either direction this is really annoying as you can tell.. so

is there a way to fix it besides the obvious of getting a new stem
.. i wasn't sure if the stem just twisted, or if there was something i can adjust
Yes the bars are perfectly strait

Check your tie-rods and tie rod ends.

Or your tie rods just might need to tightened up some.;)

heres an example of a bent steering stem but me not caring about it untill it gets worse...

lol, maybe i shoudl take after you then.. i shaved my front fenders after seing that pic :) but its just annoying and i thought there was an easy fix

my stem is bent like a banana and the plate on top is bend in the opposite direction... so i ride it liks to go left more then right... and my bars are crooked.. i can ride it doesnt bother me. im used to it
