Sounds awesome! I'll get that weekend off of work and head up, I'm only about 30-45 minutes from Danbury. Place is awesome for snowmobiling, haven't been quad riding there yet. PM me and tell me what's going on. Later

alright cool. Alot of people are riding with us Saturday and then doing races Sunday. I don't know if I'm gonna race that Sunday or not? I guess it depends on how bad I crash on the group ride.:)

A couple things I forgot to touch base on... We are going to split off into little groups according to skill level so everyone will be able to ride and keep up with others. Utilities are more than welcomed but vast majority or riders will be on Sports. For sound levels you shouldn't really have to worry about it too much, but every once in a while you'll come across someone who had a bad day.... Ride at your own risk, the ride isn't sponsored by anyone, just alot of riders that are sick of winter and want to get back out and stretch their wheels. If anyone has any specific questions feel free to post them or pm them to me and I'll be happy to answer. Everyone is free to leave when they want, and the ride ends Sunday whenever everyone is tired of riding.

Basically look for the sweet looking 400ex that's going to whoop all your *****es!:eek2: lol, Darren I love your 416...but my LT will kill it:rolleyes:

Mike your blaster would do fine at the XC race, it's not like a GNCC race where it's really hard...it goes through an mx track also and the trails aren't that bad. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to handle it with your "MX" blaster.

Yeah, probably more important to not have too big or wide a machine, I passed a lot of young guys on big machines (Raptor, Preds) that they just couldn't handle for two hours. But also keep in mind that these are tough courses. State quad harescrambles champ Nate Wentland told me that the D23 courses are tougher than the Ironman GNCC in his opinion (our trails are much tighter). last year Monticello was so tight a stock Predator had spots where both wheels hit the trees on each side.

You'll see me there, blue 416ex, fat b@stard suckin wind

I wish it wasn't so close to the XC race the next day, the wife wouldn't care for that too much. Oh well hope you all have fun! :)

Don't take your Blaster out there if you only have 2-ply mx tires you will ruin your tires and machine. You need skid plates, hand guards, 20"+ 6-ply tires. Fallen trees are standard in harescrambles as well as large protruding rocks and tree stumps.
you can run a one day card for the harescrambles I believe $10 plus $35 race fee.

Just trying to help, I dont want to see you wreck your buggy. :(

are you talking about where to meet for the ride or for the race? For the ride we are all meeting and staying at the casino campgrounds. So you can't come to the ride infantry?

Eh, the harescramble in Arkansaw isn't that bad, trails aren't THAT tight and there's barely on the tracks like rocks or trees. Tyler raced with his stock 229ex last year and the only reason why he didn't finish was because he sucks at riding and crashed into a tree then went off the course downhill like twenty feet...and the freaking hill was almost straight up...that was fun to get out...

Oh well, skid plates and handguards would probably help...that's why I wouldn't mind racing XC, especially since I grew up in the woods.

Mike...Jordan says his friend wants to buy my EX for like $3100-3200...stupid Southern Wisconsin kids, always wantin' to buy my EX:grr: ....and it has to happen after I order a-arms and want to race!

well i should be coming unless my mom and dad have another retarded reason why i cant go. they should let me go since its my 16th birthday on the 11th of may and since i wont be getting my license till september, cause my mom didnt want me to take my drivers education class early (privately). and plus they arent letting me race this year. if i do come, i 'll be with flyin, speedy, and toadz.

I didn't do Arkansaw last year, I did Hill City, Monticello, Mazeppa and a WORCS race @ Millville (nasty!!! but cool).

wow, this thread got dropped fast. I don't know what I'm gonna do yet. I got an mx race that Sunday... I'd like to stay at the ride but don't want to drop back any further in points than I already will be (seing as I'm already gonna be getting my butt kicked racing stock). I don't know what I should do? Is anyone gonna make it to the non points mx race on the 28th?

Can you guys give me some info on the Danbury trails. This sounds like a fun ride.

Does everyone camp? Hotel? where?

Do you leave Danbury and drive to? and then return on the same leg of trail?

Also can someone let me know what these trails resemble. Are they similiar to BRF or Clark county trails? or?
