03-04-2002, 11:31 PM
a couple of weeks ago i was at the pismo dunes at comp hill. i had my 250R w/ haulers on the back, and my friend had his banshee, all stock w/ sand sharks. we decided to race. I reved up and he reved back so we took off, we flew up the hill neck and neck. then we came to the top and to me it looked like a tye. jst in general, Wat is faster? 250R or banshee? advantages and dis advantages, and circumstances. i ust want to know wat is generally faster. THANX!

The R is better, but in a straight line, a stock banshee vs a stock R is no contest. Put them in the woods or on the track and its also no conest as they R will dominate it then!

rhinno is pretty much right...except in the woods and tracks it tend to be more the rider than the machines, at least more than a striagth line

banshee will smoke anything in a straight line. even the raptors. well atleast every raptor & banshee ive raced, the banshee always won, even if i was on the raptor. ive found basically that the only true thing the banshee is good at is the creek & sand dunes & drag racing

Its a kawasaki motor. Either a 700 or 800cc motor on alky.

now, basicly its a car wit no roof, since it easily does most speed limits.

thats probly got kawis old 900 tripple street bike engine. i seen a couple of those at silver lake and they seem to be a popular motor swap.

Wanna know somthin weird? I have a friend that has just a regular banshee motor thats extremely modified. He sent it to Dennis Packard with 107HP & when it came back it had 117HP. Now his bike might be runnin 3.9s! It had been runnin 4.1s that were really close to 4.0's. I cant wait to see it in action this season.

Well hey, Beerock, If you can put a four-stroke silencer on a two stroke, why couldn't they put a two-stroke pipe on a four stroke?
I'm juuust kiddin man, I never even saw what they're talkin about.

I have a 250r (highly modified)and my nieghbor Zac Powell has a banshee (upgraded more than mine) and I still smoke him *It's either my 250 will simply blow him away* or I'm a better driver and he's older and been riding longer than me.So I say 250 all the way!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, My R handels better than anything ive ever ridden, especially shee's! Straight line im afraid you wont win, especially if the shee is on pipes, heads, and carbs! Im workin on than shee though! I should bet that guy by this summer. Stick with your R though! Even though they'll probably be decreasing in value in the next years.
