I'm gonna replace my rear tires on my 300ex, and i have already decided on Kenda Klaws and Douglas wheels. I don't know whether to get the 20's or 22's klaws and if i should get the .125,.160, or .190 wheels. I'm gonna keep on my stock front tires and i'll mainly just be trail riding. Any ideas?????

Stock rims have a 'rolled edge' that is stronger than standard Douglas or ITP .190 rims.;)

You will loose a bit of ground clearence with the 20" tires and the gearing will be different also. On the 300 you will have less top speed but more low end 'grunt'.

So are you saying its better to keep my stock rims, and go with the 20's???

I say keep the stock rims if they aren't bent. As for tire size it's up to you and how rough the trails are. Do you hung up much or close to getting hung up with the stock tires?

I actullaly just bought the wheeler and haven't really had a chance to take her much with all the snow but i all know is that the rims are good but the rear tires are pretty bald. If you take her out in the snow the tires just spin, no traction at all.

The 20" will be a bit lighter as well which could benefit the 300. Changing the front sprocket to a tooth larger should put the gearing back close to stock I think. I'm not positive it will fit without modifing the case saver though. Do not ride without it.

I don't think it's neccessary unless you're worried about loosing top speed. The gearing will change but since you just got the quad i'm sure you will get used to it right away.

Joe is right. I say keep the stock wheels, that way when ya hit sumthin (if they brake or bend) you arnt out much, just keep them as long as possible.;)
