400ex carb. on 300ex

I'm want more power on my 300ex without spending a fortune. I have a K&N with a precharger, big gun-full system, Wiseco high compression piston, and i'm running 95 octane gas. Will the 400ex carb. fit on my 300ex?

Yes it will fit. Its a pain getting the stock 300 carb boot over the 400 carb though. You need to find a used 350x carb boot its much easier to get on. Also the 400 carb will mainly only help on top end.

are you sure about that?only top end,nvm then i was going to get one but not no more,im looking for bottom to middle range of more power

I am going to have to disagree just a little. When I put the 400ex carb on my 250x, I noticed a much stronger midrange pull and a little more on the top end. I do have a few motor mods and was prob. choked with the old 250x carb pretty bad, but the 400ex carb actually impressed me!

Now, if I only had a good pipe to bring it all together.:(
