i put the first scratch in momma's 300

well ....me and the wife took the day off and enjoyed a wonderful day off. its actually the first day weve both taken off together and done nothing all day in over 10 years:eek:


anyway, i take her new 300ex for a lil ride and decide to try busting a new section of trail. everything was going good until i get to a pretty steep hill and aboit 3/4 the way up it...i run out of places to go:p thats about the same time i find out the 300ex is a bit light on the front end and that stock rear tires dont bite too well:( the front end climb too high and thats when the rear tires gave up traction....i jumped off the side and tried to keep it from rolling down the damn hill. only problem was that when my feet hit the ground the hillside was so slick i went UNDER the back tires:( it chewed me up pretty good. no major damage to the quad, but i now look like a bruise factory:p right above both knees is already purple heading for black:mad:

damn, today is the day for wrecks. lil'man rolled his on the hillclimb:( skun up his back and jammed his thumb. i hadnt heard them so when that happens i ride "parent" trail( it cuts the course in 1/2) and when i found him he was sitting on his bro's quad while his LT was upside down in a briar patch:p Cody said he was 3/4 the way up it and clipped a treee which sent him and the quad tumbling

Don't sweat it Pappy. I call it the 'initial eff up'. As soon as I got my 400 done, the first day out I tore something up....now I am not so worried about keeping it pretty, lol!

All quad need the 'initial eff up'. It keeps ya grounded to the overall picture.:)

If you ride a 300ex much you will find out very quickly the front end is way too light. Glad to hear everybody is ok!
