i Have a 89 LT250R...and i love it...its truelly an animal but however, how much better are the TRX250r's compared to them besides handling? i know they dont have all the goodies mine has stock..like the powervalve...also if anyone wants to Post some pics of other LT's, i enjoy lookin at others to see whats out there...

how can i determine what year my bike is?

u can tell by the motor...and the swing arm...if the motor is blue, and has a reed valve...its an 87-92

if it has a grey type of color motor, its a 85-86..also they tsrated making the motors during 87 with the power valve..if there is a clear lense on the right side...its an 87 to 92

Also from 91-92 they did away with the full-floater rear suspension. Intake on the 87 has 6 bolts, 88 and up has 5.

wat is the top speed on an lt 250? i hear there faster than raptors but i dont know

it all depends if the LT's are stock or not...if they are stock maybe not but i ride with several guys who own raptors and down the road mine is a tad bit faster...and has faster acceleration

I raced a Raptor with my LT when I only had an FMF pipe on it, and beat him. I think it was only because we were on asphalt though, the Raptor wheelies easy. With the mods I have on the LT now, it takes a raptor on anything.
