I got a 98 dodge neon sport. It claims it can pull up to 1000 lbs but I do not trust it. Do yall think Ill have big problems pulling a 120 lb trailor and my 400ex? its only like hauling 2 fat people. I was going to position the 4 wheeler so it didnt put weight down onto the car so it will only be pulling.

The neon can pull it. It should be fine. My buddy uses his 4 cylinder Grand prix to pull. We have had his raptor and my banshee on the trailor before too.

There used to be a guy here that pulled 4 dirtbikes around with his neon. I think you should be fine I wouldn't be going on real long trips but back and forth to your riding area should be good.

My civic with 3.5 cylidars pulls my trailer and quad fine. Its almost like towing nothing.

However, stopping does take a little longer. I would make sure your brakes are up to par, but you shouldn't have a problem.

Get you a cheap lightweight trailer. You'll be fine. My Bruick used to haul my enlarged 5x10 with 2 full size quads just fine.

Heck, if that doesnt work out, have your 400ex pull the Neon!:p

That may actually work better.. :D

But as long as you are under the gross towing weight and the tongue weight it should work fine..

now theres something you need to consider, it may tow it but whos to say that it will stop it. they dont list that in the specs just what it can pull.

yes they do...when a car/truck lists the pulling weight, they do take into consideration the brakes.

it says 1000 lbs in the owners manual. Its got the best brakes out of all the different vehicles Ive driven.

just watch heating them up... with the extra weight you can experience some major brake fade while going down hills...

If you drive it normal... you shouldnt have any problems.

Last weekend....I went riding with my friend and his family. We managed to pull 15 quads behind his F-250 Diesel.

But anyways....My uncle used to pull his Big Bear with his old Honda CRX....so you should be just fine.

I used to pull my 400 with my 87 Integra, and before that I had a Polaris4x4 that I pulled on the same trailor. If its a manual tranny You'll be just fine.;) But if its an automatic look into a tranny cooler for it. Other than that you should be fine.

like others have said, make sure that your brakes are working and in good shape. me and a friend pulled a Ranger on a big arse car trailer with my friends '88 f-150. im sure that we went over the weight limit by pulling all of that. there is nothing more scary than going down a hill with the brake pedal to the floor and the wheels locked....but still doing 15 mph:D with a main road in front of you:eek2: :p

Yup, I was towing a small trailer with both quads with a new 2002 malibu 6 cyl, unfortanately I had the situation of a emergency stop. Toasted the front rotors, warped them. Warranty took care of it but it was well within the tow limit of the car, so brakes and tranny upgrades would be in order.;)

you should have no problems at all... i used to haul my 400ex on a 4x8 trailor behind an 87 honda crx never had any braking or overheating problems......sorry can't find a pic thought i had one

how will it fish tail?, im pulling it? because the momentum of the car will slow down but the trailer wont as quick since it doesnt have brakes so the speed energy has to go somewhere.

You wont have any problems (fishtailing) if you don't overload the rear of the trailer so its pulling up on the hitch.
