Do you have to use the $20.00 plug that you buy from the shop? Is there another type that would be cheaper? The stock plug on the 450 has a different end but I am not sure why!

I don't know about a cheaper plug and I paid 13.00 for mine from my dealer,WOW! That is hard to choke down beacause I'm cheap. Not so cheap that I will be denied riding time because I did'nt have a spare plug though.

The plug in the R costs so much because it is coated in iridium. I am not sure if you can use a regular plug though, but i would guess that you could.
