Has anyone ran a 10.5 to 1 stock bore piston and stage2 hotcam. If so did it add to the performance or do I need to go to a bigbore piston. The only other mods I have are hmf slipon, jetting and shaved flywheel.

I am running a stock bore 10.5 to 1 piston and a hotcam stage 2. Yes it made a difference in power, mostly in mid range and top end. I think I would get a 416 kit along with the stage 2 cam. This would give more bottom end to go with the mid range and top end.

I have 11:1 and HRC wich is close to a HC sg 2. It is a great setup. I noticed a lot more bottom end with a great top end. I would skip over the 10.5 to 11:1 just to get every last bit of power out of it with out going to race fuel. If you dont care about spending $4.5 + a galllon for race gas go higher comp.

With my setup I have beat new trx450's(drag race 1st all the way up), I dont know if he had HRC or not.

I ran a 10.5:1 stock bore piston and sparks racing cam at first. it made alot more power everywhere. If you have the money I would also get a fcr39mm carb.
