I finally got my TRX450R! I was #2 on the list.

Within 10 mins of owning it, I had it covered in mud. Well, nicely splached with mud. I think that this is a record!

I can't beleive how easy the thing started, the first kick on my first time trying to start it. The dealer did lower the idle for some damm reason, but with a quick turn of the knob everything is where it should be.

I have no way of posting the pic anywhere, and every free service I have tried isn't working out. I'll e-mail anyone who would like to look, or post them.

I paid MSRP, and was suppose to get the HRC kit thrown in. I wasn't to caring to haggle, because the dealership has treated me really well in the past, plus they are a customer of the company I work for.

Now to today's ride. **Pics to be posted around 8pm PST**

I went and rode at a local private track that I have helped build. I have had quite a bit of rid time on the 400EX out there. The R made me a mellow beginer on my 400, into a fairly aggressive rider! I just love the thing! If you like the ergos of the 400, the R is even better than everyone is saying. My buddy is hooked on the R too, and he thought that his 400Z was bad ***.

I am now enjoying jumping on the track, on the 400, I would jump some, but never really got into it. I was taking it nice and easy on the jumps, 2nd gear, and everything was fair. When I started hitting jumps in third gear, WOW, it got easier to jump and land!

On the straights, the hook up is insane! It is a real point and shoot ride. When I was getting it to power slide, I was having issues with having too much power. I kept trying to spin out, but the track conditions was dry and loose on top. On the damp corners, I was running in hard, braking hard, pitch it, and nail the gas and straight it went. I do need to play around with the shock settings, but that is a later item.

The starting is easy, first kick most of the time. It even started right up when I stalled it. It is taking me a little time to get a propper technique down to start it correctly. It was so easy to start, that if I stopped on top of a 4' tall jump, I could get it to bump start by just letting it roll down the jump. NEVER did I feel that not having a electric start was a mistake!

The ergos seem to make body english natural. I just found myself moving around with out really thinking about it. On the 400 is seemed like it is a little harder to get body english going.

I don't see the first gear being too big of a issue, I did a little tight trail riding. I have the tendancy on the 400 to use mainly 2nd gear, and bairly ever first. the R seems to have a first gear that matches the 400's 2nd gear. I the real technial it might be a little issue, but nothing that learning to slip the cluch a little won't fix. I will buy a 13t front sprocket for riding the trails with the girls, cause it is a chore to ride sweeper with them in first gear.

I don't understand everyone crying about the turning radius, it dosent seem any bigger than the 400. I did a side by side with the 400Z, and they looked really close.

Complaints so far:
When leaning way to the inside, the seat edge is a little harsh. Kinda hurts the leg.
It is hard to take it easy, because it needs body placement, and will bit you if you don't. Please don't cry about the "light" front end, place the but on the front of the seat, and it is fard to pull a wheelie.
