Hey guys i know this goes in the other quads section but it dosnt get much attention, so i'll just put it here. But anyways Imight be getting a dvx400, and wonderd if anybody on this fourm had one and could tell me what the differences are between them and Z/KFX400 are? How do they compare to a Z/KFX400? How hard is it to take the fenders off? Is it a good overall quad?

Thanks

there the same exact quad only with different plastic and seat. but the fenders EASILY remove! i looked at one at my local dealer and there nice!!! they definatly have a more motocross feel to them, than do the z/kfx's. and they look similar to the trx..so u know its good

the only major differences are the seat shape, the subframe and the swingarm chain adjustment. plastics dont count because these can be bolted up once the DVX plastics are removed(you'll need Z/KFX brackets though).

otherwise, exactly like the Z/KFX.

they get the frames from suzuki, built in Suzuki factories.

they exactly the same as the 2004 Z/KFX frames. AC doesn't manufacture these frames.

welds have been beefed up a little and the steel used for the frames comes from a different supplier than what was used for the 2003 Z/KFX's.

you will still see the same problems that the 2003's did...of course this is a case by case basis.

gusseting the frame is a must for anyone that is going to do more than casual trail riding.

That's why you don't hit people head on:huh

I saw a green DVX at the local Yamaha/Artic Cat dealer...looked pretty sweet, it was only $5300 I think too.

i think they look really good. i was at little sahara 3 weeks ago and saw a red one and everyone i was riding with was like holy cow its a new 450r. then when we got closer we realized it was a dvx. look good to me. :)

I seen one in our local Artic Cat dealer. Very nice looking quad however, Its a little small for my personal liking but because its a take off of the Z there is all kinds of aftermarket parts available for it already, plus you wont have the hassle of waiting for them to work out all the first year bugs. If the price is right go for it.
