WB Discs????

I was wondering if anyone with a white brothers pipe tried any different amount of discs to make it quieter? Do you lose alot of power, or is it worth the noise level?

Wright now i am running 12 disks. 12 is suposibly the best combo between top and bottom end. I have also ran 6 and its alot quieter and alot more bottom end which is real nice for tight woods. I have also ran 8 which is pretty good to. I have even tried no disks or sparkarrestor and to me its seemed like it lost power because the WB works on back pressure. The best thing i ever did though was take an alan wrench and cut off the hook part so i was able to use it in a drill which makes taking the disks out alot quicker.

I just played this game today, 12 discs = as loud as no discs
8 discs = no real noticable decrease in noise at full throttle
I normaly run 12 discs but tried to tame the noise today. I went as low as 8 today and it was bearly quieter than 12 I left it at 10 just to see how it runs, good luck getting that pipe quiet and maintaining any kind of power I tried 4 discs when I got the pipe 4discs = crap and still louder than stock

I run no disks or spark arrestor, and its DEFINITLY louder than 12 disks by far:macho :D ;)

I was under the impression the less disks the louder it was, and the more disks=more power(within reason). I bought mine used, and it has 14 disks I believe. It's loud but not too loud, not as loud as my buddies hmf. Not sure though, it seems like some are saying less disks and some say more? Does anyone really know and care to share with the rest of the class??? Thanks :p

Less disks= more low end and less noise
More disks= more top end and more noise

I was told that no disks at all will give you more top end, that is why I took all of my out and my spark arrestor:devil:

When I got my pipe I read the paper and it said that with only 4 disks on the exhaust it moves as much air as a stock mufflers moves. I run 18 disks on mine right now. It works pretty good. Plus I have a big bore so I need the extra disks.
