Battery Died

my stock battery just went dead last friday so i went and got another one and put it on last friday and yesterday, wednsday, the NEW battery is gone dead! and i havnt even rode much :mad: . what could be the problem!!!!?????

could be:

1) bad battery (even a new one can be junk)

2) bad stator

3) loose connections

4) a draw off the lights causing an off key drain

do you have a multimeter?

A year or so ago, I had the same problem. In my case, the rectifier was bad.

Ops... one night in the winter i took my quad out when it first started snowing, about an hour later i came home and put the quad away made sure the lights were out, the gas was off, choke was closed, and locked the shed for about 3 weeks before i pulled it out again. WHOPS don't leave the key in the ignition even though the lights are off :/
