PowerCore 4 S/A Complete for '97 300EX

Hey Y'all,

Is anybody here using the PowerCore 4 system on their 300? I've heard it has pretty good all around gains, but here are my list of wants (in order): Hard hitting torque, more sustainable top end for hill climbing, and (you'll hate me for this) something not too loud. Riding areas are starting to get shut down around here and I don't want to contribute to that. For those who look at that list and say get a 400 I have looked at that... I weigh about 120 pounds, a 400 is over my head (for now).

no dude u are totally sane for gettin a quiter pipe for trails most people here use their pipe for 75% track 15% trail

Take a look at the FMF Q series, they are quiet and give respectable powegains. The powercore is a very loud pipe. You could also look into an adjustable pipe, liek the White bros E series, or FMF Megamaz, which would allow you to tailor noise and power output for the given time.

What headpipe would I use with the Q series muffler? Do they make a powerbomb for the 300EX?

So Nacs, what's your beef with the Q? I'm just curious. For anybody... is there some other brand I should look at?

u just cant get good pwoer without sound. and the q cuts back on sound so it cuts bak on power. BTW fmf pipes arent the greatest either.

Really? What pipes are cheaper? I'm assuming you pretty much get what you pay for in the pipe world.

kinda. kinda not. i really dont see payin 500 bux for a lrd or sumtin but i can see buying a hmf with greaet performance for 215.
