removing an XR100 baffle = power?

I took the baffle off my friends 03 XR100 and it didnt sound too much louder, i was wondering if its okay to run it without a baffle, it started just fine (no carb adjusting) and can I drill holes in the air box for more power?

or is it all too much of a small bike to not even worry about getting a whopping .5 HP?

If you are going to start modding it you will need to re jet to see any gains.

yeah its fine when my friend (iwanna250R) had an xr100 (a long time ago) he did that and it was fine

by the way now he has a yz125!!!
