does anyone have one? or know much about them? are they and good? they seem like good trail bikes, i wouldnt mind grabbin one.. i read about it on the yamaha website but i would like your opinions. thanks

Thats the engine that the YFZ was based off of. Its a good trail bike, but it's kind of heavy and a bit sluggish stock. Uncorking the intake/exhaust and cutting the grey wire makes it a lot better.

if you ride trails and woods ect most of the time, just buy the WR250F its lighter and cheaper.

we sell ALOT of the WR 250/450's at my shop. i work in parts so i get to see what parts people are buying so i judge the reliability. I havent seen or heard of any motor,or suspesion parts being orderd so far. everyone seems to buy misc nuts and bolts and every customer i've talked to say then love the bike even for the the occasional MX riding. they say the power is all there and the suspension is great.

like the other guys said, thoose bikes are corcked up to be quiet from the factory. THEY NEED A PEIPE AND REJET.
