Is there any diffrent between the TRX250r and the TRX450r front and or rear calipers (spelling) I know that they both pretty much look the same, but i dont know a whole lot about the 250r's and would it be possible to put that braking system on a 400ex???

I know the 450r rear caliper is diffrent than the 250. The 450 is single piston. The front calipers probly mount diffrent.

Baldwin sells some aluminum adapters to put 250r front calipers on the 400ex but they are like 200 bucks. But i got lucky and got some from pappy used. I can get you some pics if you like.

That would be awsome, I know that the 250r callipers where dual piston, and they brakeing surface was a whole lot bigger , but did they work any better then stock pads, like would it be worth my time and money???

I cant ride it yet. But I imagine it should be better.

Also i think pappy still has a mount to put a crf450 front caliper on the rear of a ex. If you were looking for something in the rear too.

Since the pads, are bigger, do they last anylonger, than a 400ex brakes, and what pads to u recomend i run for for stock 400ex callipers
I like my EBC metalic pads, But i ran Tusk in Texas and they seamed to stop better, but they seemed to wear down alot quicker, but they where also 1/2 the price what kinda pads do most people run??

I figure the bigger pads should last longer but I think i have only changed front pads twice in the 4 years i owned the quad and they werent even that bad when i did change them.

I usually use magnum or ebc sintered pads.
