By the Afternoon, it had warmed up into the Mid 70s with a slight breeze, which were perfect for racing, but the track on the other hand was severiously tore up from the Morning Race. The attendance for this years afternoon race was slightly off from last year, but everyone know going into this round that it wasn't going to be pretty.

The elements didn't deter any pros from showing up and taking on the Hurricance, and they all showed up perfectly clean and ready to Race!

It is amazing at how fast the 250R has faded from the Nationals with the New Four Strokes available, but Nathan Gogno had his ready to go for the the 265B Class, which amazingly only had three entries.

#18 Jared T Gruca wasn't able to continue after the 2nd lap, so he stayed out on the track to assist the racers though the swamp.

Admin
03-04-2004, 10:01 AM
By the third lap, the track was becoming severely rutted and the line you used the previous lap was unusable. The course was constantly being adjusted to bypass the roughest sections of the course, but it was still extremely difficult to navigate especially with quads stuck everywhere on the course. Most of the time, the Pros don't have to deal with lappers until the fourth lap, but this wasn't the case in Florida. Many racers were being lapped after only two - three laps into the five lap event.

I just liked this picture! I wish I could figure out who it was?

The biggest problem was figuring out which rider was who during the Race! The Pros are easy because they are fast and have huge numbers on their quads. The rest of the field was very difficult.

I will be posting a gallery soon, so of all my photos from the event, and they are all forsale if you are interesting in purchasing any drop me an email webmaster@exriders.com
