Can anybody even do a plug test nowadays? Me and three of my friends have slightly bigger jets in than recomended and we still have white plugs and did exactly what the kits told us to do.I was told that there is to many additives in the fuel.

i was told that you can mix some lead additive from your local car parts store in your gas and it should even out the other addatives that are put in gas and give you a better plug check.

Yes you can read them. You just have to know how. The color you are looking for isn't at the tip of the plug. It is on the prociline down deep at the base inside the plug.

On a dirt bike forum I read that unless the bike is completely warmed up after switching the jets (thats at least 10 minutes of rinding) forget about reading the plug. Also, you need to roll on the gas consistently in the circuit your checking. Ride on a slight upgrade, pull the clutch, kill the motor. Here's a link to one of many jetting pages, hope it help.
