I'm getting ready to tear down the ol 400 and wanted to know if i should go with the crf cam chain?

I've done the search looks like there are as many yes's as no's.

Sounds like that is the way to go. Service Honda is very cheap on them also.

I installed the CRF450 cam chain in my 400EX about 2 weeks ago and so far so good. My old one was not stretched but I figured while I'm in there I might as well do it for cheap insurance and just to find out if it works. No poblems yet. I was worried because the chain was significantly wider than the sprocket and it completely filled the chain tensioner guide but I put it in anyway. I am sure you will here about it if something goes wrong. I think it was less than half the price of the 400EX chain too which is good in my book.
