400EX Axle's

on my 300ex i just set up my front end (as you can read below), would a stock 400ex axle work on my 300ex. my friend just bought a racin one and i want his. if this works are there any modifcations that i would have to make????

No I don't believe it will fit. I was going to sell mine to a kid for his 250x but it will not fit. I don't know exactly why maybe the way it fits in the carrier? :confused:
