Ok seeing that the first race of the year is scheduled for the 14th at Log Road *assumming weather holds out:cuss: * Just wondering who's going to be there, or for that matter at any D14 MX races this year. I'll be running the #722, probably B class so if u see me....don't beat me to bad. Good luck to all!

Quadude32,

What don't you like about Morelands (now Victory Lane)? Why do you expect things to get worse there now that someone who is actually involved with quads now owns the track? I expect things will only improve for quad racing at Victory Lane. Such as offering an Xtreme moto for the quads (something normally reserved for the dirt bikes) this year.

Please try to offer positive criticisms. We (the members of D14) are trying to attract more racers/sponsors/etc... not scare them away.

I guess one of the Biggest thing's are there price increase (Entry fee,Race Fee).We shall see how it goes there(I live close to the track and i Won't race there,I'll Drive 60 miles away to race for a better show up of Quad's):grr:

Well i haven't been to the track in question but i might just have to go that way to find out. It seems that D14 and its tracks are moving in the correct direction when it involves quads, i just think we need more of a turnout to keep things moving:macho

I totally agree, It sucks when you only get a few guy's to race against because there is other track's running the sameday.Tell Ya What first weekend in Aug. @ Baja it's a quad Racer's only in the Afternoon Program there will a sh*t load of quad's there i hope:eek2: Best turnout for quad;s seem's to be at logroad & Dutch as of the past that is:huh

Hey Michigan guys. I used to live out there until 1990. I used to race log road, red bud. Most of all Milan used to have tt races and then they also had there mx track. Does the Milan facility still exist?

I'm not racing MX but I'll be out there poking along in the Hare scrambles. Check out www.michigandirtslingers.com for a michigan oriented site.

Milan is still there, that's the track i race at the most because it's so close to me. they no longer have the tt track though, just MX.

I hope to be hitting log road and dutch up a few times this year, and Red Bud during the national. What's the dates and times for the log road races, and are they two day events or just one day?

I think what this district needs, assuming quad attendance starts to go up, is a quad only series. Even if its only one race a month or something, becuase its so hard to race for district points when theres a race everyweekend, from March to October. I would have no problem driving 5 hours to race if i know i have a chance in the points standings in a Quad only Series Being a college student its kinda hard to afford to race everyweekend! I'm going to try to hit up every quad only event in D14 this year if i can. Plus a few LOL races and a few nationals.

There was some discussion during the D14 ATV Banquet of:

A) Only having one D14 points paying race per day/weekend instead of multiple tracks awarding points on the same day as it is now. Multiple tracks could still have races on the same day, but only one of them would count towards D14 points.

B) Having the quads race the same day with some of the smaller dirt bike classes (womens, kids, etc...). Not quite a quad only setup but much better than squeezing in the quads as they do now.

Any changes would not occur until next year (2005).

Be sure to talk to the other racers when you are at the track. We need to tell the promoters, D14, etc... what the racers want to make this a better district and attract more racers. The track promoters realize that there is some money to be made with quads so they are more willing to work with us now. We just need more racers to show up.

Thats the hard part, most people don't want to spend the $$ to race becuase they don't think they can win. Heck i have a few friends that would race but they'd rather get drunk, smoke weed and have sex with fat chicks then go racing:huh

I'll be at all of the Hare Scramble events. Plus I like to do a few MX races at log Road & Dutch.

I think Victory Lane will be a very good track this year for quad racers and I'm looking forward to getting out there this spring.
