440 EX Tips?

Great site guys first time on it! I ride Blue and have for the past 10 yrs but I am looking at a used 440EX, FMF etc and really do not know much about the EX. Anything I should be looking for in particular in the 2000 model? I started on a 84 big red, atc110, quadsport, blaster, warrior, warrior, 300king quad, wolverine, banshee and still have the wolverine but I need the sport back any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the site!:D You'll find ALOT of helpful info here. Glad to have ya. I have a 2000 FST 440 and absolutely love it! Do a search on 440ex and you should find more than enough info you're looking fo!;)

Thanks for the reply. I actually made the deal and bought it. I think it was a solid deal. I'll have to change my name to Red Rider now. Keep rubber side down.

I was a bit apprehensive about what kind of power it would have. After having a piped and mod built Banshee a few years ago you could understand, but I was impressed. It seems really short overall but the 440 kit has to be the ticket. I'm sure I wouldn't like it as much if it wasn't built. I've only riden it once briefly cause I gotta clean it up and do adjustments.
