450R shocks on a 400 ex?

I was just wondering if the front shocks from the new honda 450 with ressies would fit on a 400EX anyone know the answer?

I heard some guy got it to work by grinding down somthing...but I can't remember what...:confused:

The top and bottom mounts are off by .015" and .010" - can't remember which was top and which was bottom. Also don't know if you'll run into any interference with the rezzy's.

Overall length is close, 450R shocks are the same length as a typical aftermarket 400EX shock.

If you can get them mounted, that's no guarantee they'll perform to your expectations - but you can sure give it a try.

yes u can grind on them and make them fit but they will not operate properly, jeff knows what he is talking about
