I am replacing the steering stem bearing in the bottom of the frame. Does the bearing come out the top of the hole or the bottom? Also if you have any good ways of getting bearings out let me know

Thanks in advance!!!

i think its comes out on either side me and a friend took one out of a 400 and u have to take out the dust seal on top and it should pop out. i think all u need is a flat head screwdriver and a hammer

If it's like the 250R, it's goes out the bottom...there was also a C clip that had to be popped out and it was rusted(seized) in there too. It took a few whacks from the sledge hammer to get it out!

You would have better luck installing it if you put it(bearing)in the freezer for an hour or so.I use a socket about the same diameter and gently tap it back in,it is also a good idea to coat the housing with some antisieze.

freeze new bearing, and if that doesn't help, heat the frame up slightly where it goes in; I personally wouldn't antiseize it, you don't want the outer race of any bearing to spin inside its' housing, that's why they fit tight
