you can drill a hole in the side of your plastic and shove it through there. you you can get the plastic thing off of a 250x.

I used zip ties and mounted it pretty much were it was factory, which also happens to be under the crossbar of my renthal bars. It's worked fine for 2 years so far, and the key can't come out with the crossbar pad directly over it.

all you do is slip the plastic under your cross bar pad and bolt it on to your light.

I don't have a picture of it but I am pretty confident that it would work for a 300. I took the plastic cover from a 300 and put it on my 250. It worked fine, so I would think the 250 plastic would work. It is at my parents house but I could have them send it to you.

get you a 1 inch paddle drill bit and drill a hole in the side of your tank plastic.or where ever you want...if you put it on the side of the tank plastic....make sure there's about 2 1/2 or 3 inches of clearanse behind it for the switch to fit...also put it on the right side..throttle side of your tank..that way you can roll up pull in the clutch and cut off the key with out reaching over your bike...

i made that mistake....also if you want to loose that bulky headlight.....you can drill holes in the side plastic or where ever for the neutral or rever's lights'......this isn't a very good pic but you can see where i mounted mine....ihave sence taken off my light and mounted the rev/nut..lights' beside it.....

can't believe you guys havn't mentiond this yet.....
