yeah the peps at elka are great. and on the lowering part it all depends on how you want them if you race XC they say to adj them and run about 10" frame clearance front and back in my manual. i dont know about for MX when you order them tey will ask what you ride (xc or mx) when i got mine they were real rough and after calling them and readin the manual i found out that i had my quad sittin to low. if you get xc and dont run around 10" of frame clearance you are usin most of your travel
