Oil change

Hey,

As far as oil change intervals, I've heard everything from 10 hours regardless to 6 months irregardless. Figured someone here has a good idea. 300EX Ridden 4-8 times a month, and always ridden hard (duh...). How often should I change the oil?

The more frequent the better, cheap insurance;) Most people say every 10-20 hours.

Also depends on how hard you ride it, what conditions, and what oil you use.

Lets say I use Mobile 1 15W50 live in Florida and the bike is riddin mostly in wet trails or sugar sand. How often should it be changed?

I change mine when the oil starts to change colour--darken.

Probably around 10-20 hours for synthetic, depending on how hard it's run.

So long as you don't play submarine:eek2: you should be fine with 20-30 hours unless temps are really hot.... I have a gauge in my tank and if I get to runnin it hard I change more often....
I would be more worried about the filter...... the syn. oils will hold up really well...
