250r light and hood on 300ex?

I was wondering if I could take my 300ex hood off and put the 250r hood and my 300ex headlight in there cuz i dont like the way the 300ex headlight is set up and the 250r and 300ex light globe are the same and as long as the 250r plastic headlight hood would fit...I would be fine! Well if anyone has ever done this or knows about it please please help me out!!

..it's not a very good pic....but it is the most recent and the biggest one i have.....after i try to get the hood on it i'll have to get the pics scanned by a freind and then mailed to me....i'll try though...here's my 300ex..

..it's a little differant looking now...
take off the headlight and shave the rear fender/'s off...i had a wreck.....
