Is there an aftermarket bulb that will cross reference the honda 400ex bulb, or must I go to the dealer and get the real thing? (headlights)

I know my one buddy did find a cross reference for his rear tail-light. He ended up saving like $5 doing it this way. I'm sure there is a headlight that will work. Let me do some quick research later today. I think they are 35watt lights at 12volts, so all you would really have to do is find the correct connection.

I hope that a place like Pep-Boys or Wal-Mart ends up having them. It's probably a good idea for everyone to have a set and keep them on the quad in a vibration proof case. It would suck to have your lights go out on a long ride at night.

That's not the same bulb as the 300 is it? The 300 interchanges with a Ford Ranger headlight bulb (sorry, can't remember the year).

I know that the 400ex's headlights will cross reference with a H3 foglamp bulb. so you can get those to replace your stock headlights.

The H3 bublb will fit but the wattage is also different so you will probably deaden your battery if not fry your stator by running them.
