I just got a new 450r and i was wondering if anybody knows for 100% that my elkas from my 400ex will bolt on my new 450r without having to be revalved.

thanks for the help.

Not 100% on this but they are the same part number. The length is the main thing....

Elka sais ~$450 to convert an Elka 400ex rear shock to the 450r. The shock travel is different. Not sure about the fronts but I am guessing they won't work.

I am having my 400ex front PEPs set up for the 450r. Baldwin Motorsports is doing it and they said the shocks need to be slightly lengthened and revalved. Then they will bolt right up. I would call Elka and talk to them. I bet they could do the same thing for you.

Not exactly sure. I spoke to Mark and it seemed like nothing major for him to do. I don't know much about shocks so I didn't question him. I figure he knows what he's doing. :)
