anyone know the thread specs for the carb bowl screws? thanks

they are 4x14 metric. you can find stainless ones at lowes or home depot.

14 is an SAE measurement. It should be a 4X.8 or .5 or something like that. I'm not sure off the top of my head what the thread pitch is though. In metric they go by the distance between the threads in mm not the number of threads in an inch like on SAE stuff.

what i wrote is exactly what the frickin parts manual says. 4x14, and for some reason i find it hard to believe that they would put sae nuts and bolts on this thing

schmitthead is correct. Metric threads are specified as he correctly indicated. Metric would be something like M4 x 14. SAE simply stands for Society of Automotive Engineers. On M4 x 14 the M4 defines the major diameter as 4mm, the 14 defines the length as 14mm.

If I recall correctly metric pitch is specified by a letter, but I cant recall completely. I used to work with fasteners at a prior job and I dont have the book I used while I was there.
