well to answer your first comment. you cant really compare Burgards standard a arm with gibson. I would put his new style right with them tho;)

secondly, do not chrome pc the a arms. get them chromed or pc'd another color

chrome pc is kinda like a hot chick that you see across the room....but when you get close enough you see she aint so hot:D it is basically a very very bright silver and it appears as chrome from a certain distance. not that i wouldnt do a set in chrome, its just that there is no replacement for chrome:devil:

i can get a set of a arms chromed. $150 or nickle plated for $80

Pappy,
On Burgards website it says the Standard A-arms are $450 a set and that the Carriers are $150. Are his prices on the site wrong?

Pappy
02-29-2004, 04:03 PM
as far as i know, exriders site members pay 395 and 110. if his site sez more i reckon thats for other people. membership has its privliges:devil:

the price for the carrier was from the special c&d and burgard just had, and the $395 maybe for an upcoming special:o but im pretty confident in those figures;)

Awesome. I was planning on buying his a-arms and stuff. this just gives me another reason to buy the arms and swinger as well as the stem and carrier. Now if I could just find an axle....

Pappy Do you know the cost for the swinger with the Exriders discount? I'm budgeting my MX conversion over the summer and I like his swinger.

I think that's the toll free number.

Pappy

nickle holds up fine. it doesnt chip or peel as bad or as fast as chrome will, however you will want to keep it coated with a good polish as it will rust (same with chrome)

are those chrome bottoms as well pappy?
how do they hold up?
they look sweet!

Pappy

pappy was that 135 or whatever the cheapest you have seen?? and is that for all 4 arms?

member

for chrome that is

Pappy
03-03-2004, 05:14 PM
well it all comes down to the prep costing the most. if the a arms are sent stripped....wire wheeled down to bare metal....and sanded (800 to 1000 grit) the price goes WAY down. if a set was sent ready to head to plating, i could get a set done for like $70
