houser and some other manufactors use 79 vw bug tierod end for ball joints. did some more home work and here are the part #'s and manufactor.TRW ES419R] SPICER, SSB401-1141 they are way cheaper then $55 they want and $10 for the boot. Lonestar uses 79 ford courier i have been told could not check if it is correct yet will post that part # when i find out for sure.

The older style leager's and jd performance(older leager's copies) use 68 vw bug outer tie rod ends on the lowers, not sure on the uppers. $25 + $25 cod from leager's, $13.50 from autoparts store:D Leager's can kiss my arse:macho

I just wrote about this on another thread yestereday. I don't know about others, but my Lonestar arms use a Moog part number ES3045RL, these are tie rods from an 89-98 Geo Tracker. I did alot of research on this since I have worked at an auto parts store for 12 years. This is the only automotive piece I've found that will fit the Lonestar arms.

If they are the new Laeger arms then they will use the new bigger ball joints, which Laeger has made just for him. Those you will have to buy from Baldwin or Laeger...

My Denton A-arm ball joints matched a 1971-1978 Ford Courier tie rod end. I don't remember if it was the inner or outer tie rod end though:ermm:

Free Ball Joint for a Broken One

If someone has any of the LSR ball joints broken please send them to me. I am not talking about the old Moog or TRW ball joints from years back, but the ones we have made. They will have Frap stamped on the back of them. So if you have a broken one of those, I will replace it for free (Must be a LSR ball joint). Also I want to know the truth how it broke because you will see that they don’t just brake. Please post it on this site….
Thanks

Uglymotha and I had talked a little about this. The inner would and should be the one you are using. If I am not mistaken the outer has a left handed thread!

I searched that part number on autozones sight for the Burgard a-arms and it did not show up as being found. And would that work for the uppers and lowers? I need one upper and two lowers. Can someone please show another part number, it can be from napa, autozone, any places. Thanks, Kyle.

I dont have the moog number, but its the outer tie rod end from a vw beetle.

They are the same for the upper and lower arms though.

they work fine for the top, but for thte bottom the threaded part is about 1/4-1/2 inch too short. I couldn't use it to replace the bottom I needed.

So I ended up using both from autozon on the top and I took the other upped I had and put it on the bottom. I am not sure what i'll do next time since I cant find any with a longer threaded part at either carquest or autozone. :(

Im pretty sure im just going to shange my frontend next time around. I really want to try a t-pin frontend so I been saving for one. Just sucks i'll have to save for shocks at the same time since I dont have long travel yet.

Just FYI, you can drill out the bottom arm on the Burgard standard arms and put in a Ricky Stator HD ball joint. That's what I did on mine and haven't had any break or bend yet.

They're 16mm vs 14mm and feel much more beefy.. They're also priced well at only $20 per.
