you not only LOSE power with cobra pipes, they fall apart and look like crap. stay away. stay far away.

wow guys thanx for the info, i didn't know that they weren't that great now i am deffinetally not going to buy one. Also i do love my R4 but i was thinking about putting the Cobra on a different machine, i should have said that earlier. I would never give up my R4 EVER. So thanx again guys thats why i love forums. :)

yea i agree with everyone else on this forum cobra pipes SUCK!!!!
i had on on my 250sx three wheeler and one on my yamaha timberwolf and promised myself i would never allow anyone to buy a cobra pipe. It is loud, no power, and just a crappy pipe. DON'T GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

a cousin of mine got a 300ex for a quad to get started with and stuff and he is new to the sport and my family wanted to buy something for him to put on it and right away i suggested a pipe and they want me to deal with it, i was thinkin' about white bros. anyway, but i was thinking about trying something different.

i have a cobra..I was like you except I didnt listen to anyone on here & got it anyway...it took away power & was soo loud people called the cops on me...I put my stock exhaust back on & you can really tell a difference

Yeah HMF makes good pipe for 300ex's.

HMF was my second choice, now it is number one. Thats probly the one i will go with. Thanx for all the info guys!!

HMF is supposed to be real good. not speaking from experience, though.

i personally use Pro Circuit. have been very happy with it, but probably not for those with sensitive hearing :D

I have a cobra on my 86 200x, doesn't make as much noise as I thought, but still loud. Its fairly quiet in comparism to my 85 atc 250r. I gained acceleration from stock, not much more power. not very happy with it, but the only choices I had was cobra or dg, dg's are steel and almost the same design. I was very disappointed that the paint on the header pipe burned off. Friends don't let friends buy a cobra or dg pipe.

my buddys cobra pipe blew up on him and caught his 4-wheeler on fire. i ain't kidding:(
