Awsome news!!!!!!!! one of the tracks i race at has just started racing quads only on saturdays at around 1:00.....they are going to race a bunch of classes it's going to be awsome......this track is a Dist. 17 track and is fast and perfect for quads......the owner Bob Pistol is going to run a bunch of classes like "A, B, C, i think he is going to run 50cc, 90cc, +25, +40, maybe a under 16 blaster and 300ex class, and possible others if he gets enough racers".....probably one of the best quad tracks around....the link to this web site is

sunset ridge....here is the link (http://www.sunsetridgemx.com/)

awsome track wide, and fast my favorite track...

long live the 250r

yeah it is a fairly easy track for quads....it's mainly lots of table tops with some doubles.....some of the double are fairly good sized...i hit them in about 4 or 5th gear on my 250r.....and its a very high speed track.....but he is going to add some harder stuff by the sound of things because he wants to slow it down a bit......awsome track....if anyone has rode or raced there give me your feedback on the track.........lets try to get some more people there......someone brought up the idea of having a quad national there..if he gets enought people racing there...

Anyway...Im glad to see someone else frequents the place...Im there every open track day I can be...see ya there!!!
The red trailer in the bottom left of that pic is my gf's dads...thats where we always park :)

Oh yeah..by the way...guees I forgot to leave my feedback in all the excitement....the track is great. Its very forgiving..if you come up short your not dead unlike some of the other local tracks here (Mount Carroll) Its perfect for quads also.....wide track..lips of jumps are usually nice and even. If you havent been there and your somewhat close.....definitely check it out...you wont regret it.

 It is good to hear you get to race at a all quad day. There are som tracks in NY that run all the bikes then let a couple of quad classes race. F%$# that . In the new england atv races it's all quads all the time. With over 350 entries we can barely get in all of our classes.:p it's nice to run southwick 6x a year. Have a blast and remember you can now go 2x as fast on that track;)

this track is in Illinois........i live on the iowa illinois border (the Quad Cities), where the mississippi runs east and west, and this track is about 45min south east of me............

Definatly a great track to race at guys, very safe as long as no newbies decide the best way to race is to crash into you mid-air in the middle of a double jump (still feeling that one from last year)! I'm #28, usually finish top 3 for B class there. Check it out if you live within a reasonable distance, you won't regret it!

I really wish we could get something together to rent the track out...I believe its $300 a day to rent it out....15 riders at $20 a piece....works for me. The way he operates a rented track as far as Im told....you can let who you want in and charge them whatever...as long as you pay the rental fee. I could be wrong...just what Im told...Ill have to ask him personally

Probably got a few WI guys coming down. We plan on coming down to race on Saturday at sunset and would like a place to practice on Sunday. Is Mt. Carroll worth the stop on our way home? Hope to see you guys Saturday.

I have pictures but they won't do anyone any good cuz i don't have a scanner:( People I went with did well overall. The results were 2nd in the A class, 2nd in B (There are was another guy in B but i am not sure what place he got) My bother was running 2nd in 1st moto and got landed on. And the other guys went 1 and 2 in C Class

Bergy

We had a good time. Both guys ran A and 16-24. Dissapointed with only 4 guys in 16-24. In WI and at the Nats that's one of the biggest classes. Most guys around here run 2 classes to get in shape. I can see that's not the case in IL. A Class was scary, filed the gate and then some. Couldn't see crap until the dust settled after a lap or 2. If you didn't get top 5 or better on the start it was impossible to move up.

Sunday we went to practice at Mt. Caroll. What an awesome track. For those of you on Saturday that told us Mt. Caroll sucked and was a waste of our time, boy are you guys wrong. I heard the track may have been sketchy last year but it flat out rocked Sunday. Lots of wicked fast uphills. 4th gear tapped on a Walsh CRF. Also an uphill double that's a duplicate of the 2nd double of the famous red Bud uphill double, double. Only 3 or 4 quad guys ( out of 30 or so riding) were jumping it. Very nice track. We'd come down again but our local riding area in WI will be opening this weekend.
