Sandblast...

I have a site all about my R but I just wanted to show how nice the sanblast looks...I've never had stuff sandblasted so I thought it was pretty cool. Anyway, I took my frame/swingarm to the sandblaster yesterday, he finished it only about an hour or two after they were dropped off but I got it today. Since I have a site I'll shut up now. Nice now keep yer paws off 'em til they get PC'd. You'll notice if you dont that every where you touch it with your oily skin will get surface rust faster than the places you don't.

Alright, I'll keep that in mind. The only time I really touched it was when I took it out of the truck and moved the swingarm from the ground to the bench but thanks I won't be touching them now...Later

Wow thats nice Pappy. What are the demensions on that?The foot controlled valve is a nice feature as well. I have thought about getting a pedal valve for mine to eliminate some of the hand fatigue from holding the trigger.
Blast cabinets are one of those tools that, until you have one, you just don't realize how handy they are.

I've logged at least 200 hrs with my hands in a gritblast cabinet, and well over twice that with a dremel. I like my computer much better, thanks... :blah:

soggy, it has a 40 x 40 x 35 working area and a full size dust collection system.

i also ordered a new 4 x 4 x 4 pc booth for small parts. next on the list is a 30 x 40 workshop and a 15 x 30 oven:eek2:

:cool: Sounds like some one is getting ready to semi-retire and spend more time working at home, and less time shuttling parts around. I'm still working on getting the property to build the shop. Currently I share shop space with a friend, It works out well though because a most of my work is automotive, and it comes from the customers that come in for engine work.

well my boss finally told me a date when he will retire so i have basically 2 1/2 years to get serious. if all goes well the day he retires is the day i become my own boss. i havent even sought local work but that wil change very soon.

even from humidity those are gonna rust within a couple days depending where they are, i hope ur pcing soon

me and my dad found this out after sandblasting the drums on his corvette, we had to do them twice :grr:
