Better yet, buy some used Works, and send them to Santo for his piston kit and revalve!

not to be a smart *** but you might want to dour reasearch b4 ya post..ok? no pun intended. But Dave400ex im kinda on a tight budget (im only 13) so i really cant afford works plus send it off to DeRisi.

this summer I bought a brand new set of works triple rates w/o rezzies for my front...I had them setup for trails & MX....they were okay...I then got the pro millenium kit on my stock rear shock & on my 2 front works...I got them valved for just trails this time,.....all I can say is that the fronts handle 300x's better & the rear is okay....I'd say my works now wil outperform alot of the higher dollar shocks out there (maybe not quailty wise b/c they ARE works:rolleyes:) .....I still have the factory spring on my rear shock though so i think that that is holding it back....Im gonna get an aftermarket spring soon.

DeRisi for sure! I would have him revalve the rear stock shock and buy some used works cheap for the front and have him put his millinium kit in them!

lmfao dude... the valving is totaly off... shock stroke is off.... to long... ur gonna screw ur front end up worse then if u had 400ex shocks on it:o mayb u should learn something about a shock 1st;)

just because it bolts up don't mean it'll work

Tommy i stand corrected, but could I send them to DeRisi and have him valve them right?

buy a set of used works for cheap, send them and the stock shock to De Risi. Story over.

They will be as good as any set up a typical rider could buy and still come in under the price of new aftermarket shocks.

Thanx Pappy I'll try that! But is there anyway i could get a set of 450r shocks to work right on a 400ex because i could get a set really cheap from a buddy?

im sure not a shock or suspension expert, but id have to geuss that the stroke of the shock will be way off. that doesnt mean they wont bolt in there, it just means that they may not work well. the only way i'd do it is if i had an a arm designed for that set up...which is *** backwards from the way its normally done:p

maybe for chits and giggles get your buddy to let ya install them and if they bolt in, take it for a ride.
