Is this gearing overkill for a 450 stroker?

Hi, my engine thats in my sig is almost done now and Im tryin to figure out the gearing situation for MX. Basically this stroker will put out 50HP+ with gobs of torque. Would 16/36 gearing with 18 inch tires be a little too high for MX or will my motor pull it no problem? Or would I be better off with 16/38? Thanks very much.

I have a 440 stroker and I currently have 16 - 37 gears with 20 inch tires and I still have plenty of power to pull and could probably gear up even higher.
