Are you installing the HRC kit needle?

it comes from the factory in the 3rd position from the top....the HRC kit needle goes in the same position as well.

Let us know how it goes when you are finished. I had my HRC kit installed and now when I lined up with my nieghbor (YFZ). Revd it, dropped the clutch and it bogged down like it wanted to die. I am assuming they put the clip on the third notch. Hopefully yours works fine. Let us know.

mine was in the third and its been fine.
