I posted a "Wanted" ad on here that I really needed a stock 250r axle ..... another member emails and says " I have a stock axle for $195 plus shipping" . Of course I passed on that deal. Now just a couple weeks later the same guy posts one for $70. How do you like that ??? I guess since I "needed" it then it becomes much more valuable. (I've since found one for $40 on here)

I'm not pointing fingers or naming names.....what I'm saying is this.

When you decide to buy a part on here and more than one guy has the same part....remember who was good to you when you really needed something and who tried to gouge you.

Just my opinion.......

This always seemed to amaze me. The only reason I would buy used parts is to get a GOOD deal on them. Why in the world would I buy a used stator for $100 when I can get a new one for $125?

If I have parts to sell, especially used stock parts that I have upgraded, I'll sell them dirt cheap. No way I'm going to ask $100 for my stock shocks. If somebody needs them, I'll sell them at a good price. I wish I had seen your post about a 250r axle, I have one that I would have sold you for $20.

i agree. i usually post a price and best offer. i cant see paying damn near new prices for used parts

Good post man. I too have noticed this. It seems some guys on here posting things for sale either think we are all suckers or just plain stupid.

I take for granted that 70% of the people on here are stalkers about quads and the parts. We all pretty much know how much things cost new and the depreciation of used/stock parts. I think some dudes are trying to make too much outta nothing on these parts.

Example: I just sent a used 400 tool case, no bolts or tools, but in excellent shape. Instead of just ditching it, I sold it for $5 shipped to a guy in Massachusetts that cost $4.19 to ship. It meant nothing to me, but this guy needed one bad. And I got .81 cents outta the deal, lol!:)

I know what you mean...i posted an ad for a K&N filter and some one posted " I have one that was used only one season $20 + shipping" Nac's sells them for $25 for a 250x i believe....
