idle speed

my 300 starts up great and runs good but after riding for about 5 minutes If i stop and put it in neutral or even just holding in the clutch the idle goes from regular and gets higher. Any suggestions are appreciated.

after working the throttle, there may be some play in it and it may stick a little, or maybe just adjust your idle. because when u start it do you use the choke. that may be a reason. idle's good with the choke but once off, it may run high.

Prolly adjust your idle. Or your choke was on

When i bought my 02 300 it did the same thing.
It was around the 10 or 12 hrs of run time. Called
the service dept. they said to bring it in for the
fisrt serivice to check the valves etc. When i got
it back and it has not happend since.
