I need to modify me sons Eton Viper 90 rear clutch shoes to engage at a higher rpm.I know I need to drill them out but don't know how big to start with. The engine is fully ported,20mm carb, pipe,hd belt.Any pics? The quad leaves kinda slow but after about 20-25 feet it really starts to haulazz.

Drill 2 5/16 holes in the shoe near the pin the shoes pivot off and drill 3 3/16 holes between the spring relief and the shoe material on the other end of the shoes.

In the rear we are running the red Malossi springs and w/gear my son weighs 12#.Will drilling the holes you suggested make a large difference for our holeshots?

if you go to hetrick racings site you can see a pic of where to drill the shoes,my exp with drilling the shoes dont bring the stall up enough, you will have to add stiffer clucth springs as well, the red spring is the tork driver spring it just keeps the belt from slipping for the most part ...also some 5g rollers will help the holeshot..

We also have changed the torque spring,I was referring to the clutch shoe springs.Where is it located on Hetrick's site.I looked and could not find it?Will the 5g rollers kill my topend speed?

is the motor still 82cc,fully ported ? the 5 g rollers shouldn't hurt your topend alot of the pipe guys recommend 5g to start,if the motor is big bore say 108 the you will need heavier rollers
