powder coat color??

Does anybody know what color the stock 87 250r motor is. I have a hinson cover and want it powder coated the stock grey color. But the guy i talked to said i'd have to find out what color it is and he'd order it.

Here is a bad pic of the motor, but you can see a little bit of the color. Any clue what the name of that color is, or where i can find out????

go to or call a honda dealer and ask them they would probably know

Me and a friend had some paint custom mixed to match the factory color. It has a ton of metallic in it. I don't know if a powdercoater could get that right or not.

BTW, what happened to that powdercoating thread?
