HRC kit and Sparks pipe

How big of a difference did anyone notice when putting a Sparks pipe on with the HRC kit? In short, is the Sparks pipe worth the money over just the HRC end cap?

I'll third it! I'd really like to know if anyone installed a full Duncan system and how it worked along side the HRC kit. I have my head being ported right now and can't wait to get it back together and get an exhaust on it. Then once JE gets those pistons out watch out cause here I come!:devil: :devil:

I am running the HRC Kit and full Curtis Sparks ceramic coated exhaust and Sparks Air Filter Kit, I love it,The Sparks Exhaust is loud but sounds awesome.. These mods really opened up the bottom end of this bike and she revs a lot faster. I ordered a 13th front CRF sprocket to see if this will help me get a out of the whole a lil faster. You see,I also have a 04 YFZ 450 which Ive been letting my friend ride when we go riding, the bikes are almost dead even in drag races except sometimes the YFZ gets out of the whole a lil faster.The YFZ has a full Yoshi exhaust,cam mod, jet kit, and airbox lid off. I still love my Honda better though.You can see my YFZ in the background of this pic......

what size jets are you running with the HRC kit and pipe?????

i think i'm goin to have to come of the hip and get one!!!!!:cool: :cool: one question is does it start easy. i've ridden one but it was bone stock. it started pretty easy.

starts one kick almost everytime.! no problems.Im happy with The HRC Cam and jetting....Ill let ya guys know how she runs with the 13 tooth sprocket on Sunday night..

The Sparks full exhaust is a lot better than just the HRC kit. I originally ordered the Sparks full with SA, but with the SA on -it isn't really aymore powerful than the HRC kit.

So I pulled the SA (made my own actually and it gets the same power as without the SA) , using sparks air filter, 190 main, open airbox, 13T sprocket, HRC kit.

The 13T makes the 450R insane. It is a must have.

Timeline:
Bought 450R with HRC installed.
Result:
(Fast-but lugged bad below 3k)

Installed 13 T sprocket
Result:
(holy cow- Low end is insane)

Installed Sparks Full Exhaust, 190 main, sparks air filter, modified spark arrestor (basically just a mesh screen)
Result:
(I thought my quad was insane before, it pulls really hard now- The acceleration is SCARY !!!) Going to test it at the Dunes this weekend....

My guess is that with the 13T sprocket, you will be first out of the whole everytime if you can keep the front end on the ground.

I'm going to the dunes at Lil Sahara in Waynoka, OK this weekend. I hope there are some YFZs there. I think there are going to be a few YFZ owners that will get a surprise.
