OK here is the question, I have a 416 motor with fresh rings and a scuff job on the cylinder, I have ran it about 4 hrs max and all of a sudden it is smoking like a fresh lit fire, I have pulled the head off twice and there is tons of oil on the exhaust valves, so i figured there was something to do with Valve seals, so i replaced all 4 valve seals, and put it back together, and still smokes, Now im wondering what to do next, Do i pull the head and try another head or do i go and mic the rings and see if they are still good, ahh and it has around 190lbs or compression so thats another reason i dont think its the rings but could it have that much compression and still be blowing oil, or could it be something else making it burn oil. Let me know what you think

Sounds like gap specs to me, definately something with the seals since there is oil getting to the valves...not good:(

good luck
