Mounting rezzies

I am trying to mount my rezzies on my predator and the only place I have room is on the frame rail inbetween the a-arms. Will it hurt the rezzies to lay them flat on the frame rail or must they be standing up.

I have seen a few rear shock rezzies mounted sideways on the upper frame rail so I think that it will be fine.

Orientation of the rezzie shouldn't matter at all.
